ESA is a not-for-profit Membership Association whose mission is to inspire, unite and grow the sponsorship industry, with all revenue generated from membership invested back into the industry through education, guidance, representation, the recognition of excellence and the sharing of best practice and performance.
ESA champions the sponsorship community in Europe through three main pillars;
- ESA Awards: The most prestigious sponsorship prizes in Europe, the annual ESA Awards recognises excellence across more than 30 sporting, cultural and entertainment categories. Companies represented on the 2020 ESA Awards shortlist include AEG, Arsenal, Boots, Cadbury, the Cricket World Cup, DHL, Etihad Airways, Expedia, the FA, Gillette, Jaguar, Kia, Live Nation, Manchester United, Movember, Oppo, P&G, the Premier League, Six Nations Rugby, Team GB, Toyota, the UEFA Champions League and Visa.
- ESA education: ESA operates four unique educational courses, including the ESA Diploma, which is unique in the world of sponsorship for offering a robust, nine-month practical training program to equip students for the future of sponsorship. ESA also operates the ESA Arts Sponsorship Certificate, the ESA Leaders Programme and the ESA Sponsorship Sales Certificate.
- ESA events: From monthly breakfast events (free for members) to round-table events, media group gatherings and best-practice masterclasses, ESA stages dozens of events annually for the betterment of the sponsorship community. ESA also partners with leading external events to unlock insights for members, including SponsorLive, SportsPro, Global Sports Week, the International Sports Convention and the Cannes Lions.
